A friendly older neighbor instructs his ambitious friend on how to do less yard work and help the environment by growing trees between his yard and the creek.Ê Called a "stream buffer," these strips of plants and trees prevent pollutants from entering the creek and help the creek carry water without eroding. Shows different sources of stormwater pollution (such as litter, dog poop, and motor oil) turning into rubber duckies and flowing into waterways. They gather in larger and larger numbers until there are large patches of them floating in the ocean. Illustrates how stormwater becomes a problem because sources are so numerous and so widespread.
